Day 1 Convective Outlook
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0745 PM CDT Wed Oct 23 2019

Valid 240100Z - 241200Z

A few non-severe thunderstorms will be possible across parts of the
southern Plains, southern Florida and far south Texas tonight.

An upper-level trough will dig southeastward into the southern
Rockies tonight as southwest mid-level flow remains over much of the
eastern half of the nation. At the surface, a cold front will
advance southward into the southern Plains as cool and dry high
pressure dominates across the central and northern Plains.
Thunderstorms will be possible along the front tonight from
northwest Texas across much of Oklahoma. This activity should remain
sub-severe mainly due to weak instability. A few storms will also be
possible across far south Texas and in south Florida where
instability will also be insufficient for a severe threat.
